Freelance Social Media Coordinator + Events Assistant role

Words of Colour Productions and Digital Women UK are looking for a self starting freelance social media coordinator and events assistant.

This position is for a digitally-minded and digitally-literate undergraduate, or a recent graduate, with strong social media, written English and editorial skills. You should be well organised and passionate about the arts, writing industries and cultural and creative inclusivity. This role will enable you to build on your current skills with regular appraisals and professional development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be expected to confidently represent Words of Colour Productions and Digital Women UK on its digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter, as well as at our events.

Commitment: A minimum of 6 hours a week, working from home with access to Words of Colour’s office at Second Home in Shoreditch, London.

Start date: April 2017 (with a two-day induction. Although the induction is unpaid, lunch and travel expenses incurred during the induction will be covered).

HOW TO APPLY

• An up-to-date CV (no more than two pages) reflecting your relevant experience and interests with two referees

• Three examples of your written work (such as blogs, articles, reviews)

can contribute to Words of Colour and Digital Women UK’s online presence, and what you would like to learn

• Please include web links to your social media handles in your cover letter
