Digital Publishing Coordinator – British Film Institute

Deadline: Friday 2 September 2016

We are looking for a talented Digital Publishing Coordinator to join our dynamic Digital Production team to ensure the timely publication of digital content for the BFI especially in areas relating to the monthly venue Programme publishing and wider corporate activity.

With proven experience in a similar digital role, combined with a good working knowledge of HTML and CSS, you will compile and publish key online content using a number of content management systems and tracking tools. Adhering to prescribed quality, style and publishing conventions, you will support the content team with subediting of text, along with image research and editing.

Data programmer – Natural History Museum

Deadline: Friday 2 September 2016

The NHM’s Digital Collections Programme (DCP) is a major museum initiative that holds the ultimate aim of digitising our entire collection of 80 million specimens.  We have just entered into the second tranche of DCP, which has a strong emphasis on improving our existing digital collections structure in preparation for mass digitisation on a grand scale.  The Science Data Programmer will play an instrumental role in the automation of data processes within the DCP, sitting at the interface between collections data, informatics and DCP programme office.

Editor – Cooked, Bloomsbury

Cooked (www.cooked.com) is a beautifully designed subscription-model recipe website, launched in the UK in February 2015, as a joint venture between Bloomsbury Publishing, Quadrille Publishing and Hardie Grant. It offers over 270 cookbooks in their entirety, totalling 33,000+ recipes, giving it the largest database of recipes in the UK.

We are looking for a new Editor to lead the tone and editorial direction of the site. This is a senior role which offers an ideal opportunity for anyone engaged with the food scene in the digital sphere.

The role, part-time (3 days a week), reports to Bloomsbury Publishing’s Head of Digital Marketing/Project Manager of Cooked and is based in Bedford Square.

Head of Brand and Partnerships – The Space

Programme Manager – Nesta

The Digital Innovation Fund for the Arts in Wales (DIFAW) is a strategic partnership between Arts Council of Wales and Nesta. DIFAW aims to support arts organisations to explore how digital technology can be used to enhance their audience reach and engagement or develop new business models, and to embed and scale successful experiments.  It does this through the provision of grant and risk funding, research support, business support and capacity building workshops.  Alongside this, we have a comprehensive marketing and communications plan and activity to ensure that lessons are shared and engagement with the fund remains as high and as wide as possible.

At present DIFAW has five arts organisations undertaking research and development projects, working collaboratively with technology companies, and two undertaking investment readiness work.

We are now looking for a Programme Manager to support these projects as they complete their work between now and the end of March 2017, and ensure that the outputs of both the funded projects and the programme as a whole are communicated as effectively and as widely as possible

From Zero to Hero! – The Literary Platform

The event is aimed at anyone who has thought about setting up a publishing company, a magazine or tried to work out how to get a publishing project off the ground. We’ll be looking at how to get creative content into the world and ask what it means to publish in the digital age. We’ll also be questioning what it is about print that has such enduring appeal, and how digital has enabled others to share creative content so effectively. We’ll be discussing how new business models have enabled a new breed of publisher to launch, and consider what established publishers might learn from the start-up mentality.

Video Production Apprentice – Telegraph Media Group

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic young person to join Telegraph Media Group’s busy video production team on a twelve-month apprenticeship.

You will need to be interested in moving image; be creative and hard working. You will be expected to work under your own initiative within a pressurised environment, and be able to take instruction easily.

You should be numerate, and have a basic knowledge of Excel and Word. An understanding of Google docs would be helpful but not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a young person to be part of a dynamic and hard working video production team.
