Inaugural Digital Pavilion for FILIJ Mexico

The National Council for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta) was created to coordinate both the cultural and artistic policies, agencies and departments of Mexico. It also has advocacy, support and sponsorship of events that promote the arts and culture. It is responsibile for the running of FILIJ, the International Children’s Book Fair in Mexico.

In 2011 Conaculta asked The Literary Platform to programme a series of events for its inaugural Digital Pavilion at FILIJ, a new digital aspect to the annual festival.

Working with the Directorate General for the Promotion of Reading and Books, which promotes reading in Mexico, we programmed a series of digital publishing talks including speakers from MIT, Nosy Crow and Me Books who all took part in the opening Digital Pavilion event.
