Launch Event – The Lit Issue 3

How the Light Gets In, on climate change and writing, is guest edited by academics and writers Ben Smith and David Sergeant, featuring writing from journalists, conversations with best-selling novelists and contributions from aspiring poets, to highlight some of the challenges that publishing and the literary industries face in telling the most urgent story of our time.

The launch event will feature readings from the issue and a Q&A with some of these illuminating voices from across the literary world, as we seek to shed some light on some difficult questions.

About the guest editors and speakers:

David Sergeant is an author and poet and is associate professor in Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Literature at Plymouth University.

Ben Smith is the author of Doggerland and is a lecturer in creative writing and programme lead for Creative and Professional Writing at Plymouth University.
