Nosy Crow tops Best Book Awards Tech Shortlist

The Booktrust Best Book Awards with Amazon Kindle shortlist is announced today with Nosy Crow heading up the technology category with their reworking of Little Red Riding Hood and Axel Scheffler’s animal mix and match picture book Flip Flap Farm. David Walliams’ The Slightly Annoying Elephant and Peter Bently’s The Lark in The Ark are also in the running in the tech category.

This is the first year that The Booktrust Best Book awards recognise digital innovation in children’s storytelling with the new technology category for ages 0-14. Tech journalist Stuart Dredge, novelist and journalist Amanda Craig, and children’s author and presenter Cerrie Burnell are judging the category.

There will also be a lifetime achievement award for an influential children’s writer or illustrator.

Winners, voted for by school and library groups, will be announced during Children’s Book Week at an awards ceremony on 2nd July.
