Join TLP on Summer Field Trip to V&A

Join The Literary Platform team on the first of its TLP Field Trips – a chance to get out and see project work talked through by the project makers themselves. Sky Arts Ignition: Memory Palace brings together a new work of fiction by the author Hari Kunzru with 20 original commissions from leading graphic designers, illustrators and typographers to create a multidimensional story. Memory Palace explores how a story might be imagined in a different format – as a walk-in book.

Newell is a design curator who has created projects at the V&A Museum including Memory Palace in 2013, Make Lab in 2011 and 1:1: Architects Build Small Spaces in 2010 and Out of the Ordinary: Spectacular Craft in 2008. She writes and lectures regularly about design and is the Architectural Editor of the Anglo-French magazine the Play Ground. We’re delighted that Laurie will be able to take us through the exhibition in this exclusive one-off tour for The Literary Platform readers.

23rd July 2013, 10:30 am – Victoria & Albert Museum, London
