A New Generation of Children’s Stories
So with growing excitement we’re off to Bologna to tocbologna.com, where the children’s publishing and technology industries come together to debate, share ideas and learn about the changing face of storytelling for children.
The new Bologna Ragazzi Digital Award will be announced at the conference, with the finalists just announced this week… We’re delighted to see some of the many children’s projects that we’ve reviewed here being recognised for excellence in digital story publishing.
The chair of judges, editor of Children’s Technology Review, Warren Buckleitner says,
“Since the days of first computer, we’ve known that interactive media has potential for bringing magic to children. But multitouch tablets, in the hands of talented children’s authors, brings this potential closer to reality, and is touching every aspect of the children’s publishing process. Children have new ways to interact with the ideas of the author, and book publishers have a new set of tools to tell a story.”
