Judging panel announced for Spoken Ink competition

Spoken Ink has announced the judging panel for it first audiostory competition, which will give authors worldwide the opportunity to have their work published and narrated by a leading actor.

The judges include Prunella Scales CBE of Fawlty Towers fame; The Guardian and The Observer columnist and audiobook reviewer, Sue Arnold; multiple-award nominated writer Adam Marek; and Ra Page, founder of the not-for-profit publishing house, Comma Press, which specialises in short stories.  Constantine Gregory and Edmund Caldecott of Spoken Ink will also take part in the judging process.

The panel will consider submitted stories on any theme, limited to 1,500 words. The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2010.  A shortlist of three will be recorded and posted on the site at the beginning of September 2010 when the public will be invited to vote for their favourite and the winner will be announced in the autumn.

The winning writer will receive a cash prize of £250, but more importantly will see his or her work recorded and published on the site.
