The Digital Production Assistant will process the day to day Digital Production requirements for Harlequin/Fiction in ensuring our Digital Production is produced & maintained correctly.

Responsibilities

– Digital e1st Production for Fiction/Avon

– Production of the Physical & POD versions of the e1st Titles

– Champion of Digital Product for Fiction/Avon & HQN.

– Assisting on checking & correcting new & backlist eBooks

– Maintaining standards and specifications, plus advising other team members

– Supporting the Production Director – Fiction/Harlequin in any other appropriate tasks

Digital Marketing Analyst/Strategist, Authors – Penguin Random House

As our new Digital Marketing Analyst, you’ll do just that, by championing the use of data and insight in our author and book campaigns.

You’ll make sure that our marketing campaigns are commercial as well as creative, by adding context to marketing performance, making recommendations, and advising our creative teams on how to use data for their marketing activity. By doing this, you’ll help strategically shape campaigns,

You’ll be on-hand to guide our creative teams through the campaign cycle – from pre-campaign guidance about what good looks like and developing benchmarks that pro-actively guide live campaigns – to helping teams flex their campaigns based on feedback, and producing post-campaign reports to measure effectiveness and areas of improvement.

DIGITAL ASSESSMENT PUBLISHER/SENIOR PUBLISHER – Hodder Education

RS Assessment from Hodder Education is looking for a Digital Assessment Publisher / Senior Publisher to contribute to the growth of our assessment list during one of the most exciting times in our history. The role will have responsibility for preparing strategic plans and commissioning new assessments, improvements and services to further enhance our online assessment offering. Developing commercially sound business cases for new products and services based on customer feedback will be at the core of this role, as will the successful management of work in progress to agreed schedules and budgets.

The successful candidate will have proven digital commissioning experience which demonstrates an ability to understand customer need and turn this in to commercial products and services. Familiarity with data and analytics will be essential, with the aim of using this knowledge to influence the development roadmap and drive sales, engagement and usage of the products. Experience of requirement gathering and market user testing will be crucial.

Associate Digital Strategist – Oxford University Press

The Digital Strategy team is responsible for feeding competitor intelligence and market innovation into the Digital Strategy Group, which is responsible for the alignment and delivery of digital strategy across the Global Academic Division of Oxford University Press.

This is an important and challenging role, contributing to OUP’s digital engagement strategy and communicating our digital story to the business, external partners, and industry colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

Market and Competitive Intelligence

– Support the collaboration with cross-functional partners to build and drive a comprehensives strategic digital roadmap that factors all relevant organizational goals and implications

– Recommend new areas of opportunity beyond current state; aligns opportunities with organizational key imperatives

– Support Digital Strategist in understanding all new plug-ins / services (ex: Digital Science offerings) that ensure the Digital platform remains competitive and within strategic aims. Keeps up to date service overviews and OUP’s strategic position on all services and alternative strategies, if appropriate

– Responsible for in-depth competitive analysis that showcases OUP’s current position against competitors identifying USPS, gaps, and points of strategic differentiation. Ensures competitive analysis is shared / communicated with wider Business

– Responsible for understanding major trends and players in the digital academic ecosystem.

– Understand all functional strategies that connect with Digital Strategy (ex: customer and user data roadmap in marketing)

– Understand, distill, and prioritize developments in the digital landscape (new trends, technological developments, etc.)

Digital Editorial Assistant – Oxford University Press

The Editorial Digital Development team for the Medicine and the Psychology & Social Work Departments publishes a suite of online products including Oxford Medicine Online and Oxford Clinical Psychology Online. The team works to develop and deliver the department’s digital products, and to provide a pipeline of digital content for the department’s online services. The team is also at the forefront of change in the department, and aims to develop and implement effective workflows that enable efficient multi-format publication and timely updating of content.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work full-time in our Editorial Digital Development team. Reporting into the Digital Development Programme Manager, you will be responsible for:

– Coordinating the testing of all new digital content, new digital products, and enhancements to existing products.

– Creating, coordinating, and managing metadata.

– Scheduling and administering content updates to a range of our online products.

– Liaising with internal and external parties involved in the digital publishing process.Devising systems and tools for administration of the digital publishing process.

– Providing general administrative and editorial support to the Editorial Digital Development Team at all stages of the digital publishing process as required.

Digital Marketing Intern – New Writing North

Studentships – The 3D3 Centre for Doctoral Training

Deadline: 19th June, 2017

The 3D3 Centre for Doctoral Training has been awarded 12 fully-funded PhD studentships from the National Productivity Investment Fund to begin on 1 October 2017. The studentships cover fees plus an annual maintenance award of £14,553. The award is for 3 years full-time but it is possible to study part-time. Each studentship is a collaboration between one of the three universities’ research centres and an industrial partner that guarantees training and access to facilities, a variety of internships/placements and in some instances co-supervision. All students will be part of an interdisciplinary Design Futures Lab.

These three universities, all located in South West England, are committed to fostering innovation through practice-led research in the creative and performing arts, especially the interrelated fields of digital design, digital media and digital arts (including music and performance).

Funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC), 3D3 trains researchers to meet the creative and design opportunities of the future, exploring the possibilities and challenges presented by rapidly evolving technologies, including the interface between digital processes and traditional methods. It offers a unique opportunity for creative scholar-practitioners working at the forefront of a rapidly expanding research landscape.

Digital QA Assistant – Bloomsbury

Bloomsbury’s Digital Development department is currently seeking a graduate-level candidate to work on our ground-breaking digital publishing products which are mainly produced in XML. These products range from Drama Online, which reproduces a wealth of plays, from the Shakespearean to the 20th century, through to the Berg Fashion Library visual arts archive, Bloomsbury Food Library, Design Library, Popular Music, Cultural Histories and many others.  We are currently looking for someone to work in our London office on permanent contract, to undertake quality assurance (QA), testing and management of the platforms XML content.
