Digital Publisher – Bloomsbury Publishing

Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for a Digital Publisher to take responsibility for product creation, content acquisition and development for new digital products in our new Digital Resources Division, slated for rapid expansion. Working closely with in-house and especially external content providers on licensing and digitization projects, this role will deliver product to targets to achieve our ambitious goals.

As the new division scales, the Digital Publisher will build a list of digital products for the library market and, working closely with the Digital Product and Project Management teams to ensure they address end user and market needs before launch. This is a new role reporting to the Academic Publishing Director, Digital Resources.

Digital Producer – Imperial War Museums

Deadline: 9am on Friday 3 March, 2017

As Digital Producer, you will work closely with the Digital Content teams across IWM leading the creation, management, commissioning and delivery of content on IWM websites and social media channels.

You will focus on the production of original content that furthers the reach and engagement of IWM’s digital voice, creating a wide ranging suite of content which enhances our public programme and otherwise supports the work of other teams within IWM, while building a distinct digital product.

You will input into digital strategy and help to maintain, manage and deliver an editorial programme based on long-term plans and goals.

Marketing Manager, Digital Resources – Bloomsbury Publishing

Bloomsbury Publishing has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to work within Bloomsbury Digital Resources, a newly launched division that includes the award-winning Bloomsbury Fashion Central and Drama Online, as well as a wide range of new product launches planned for the next several years. This role reports to the Associate Marketing Director and will be ideal for a creative self-starter with experience of marketing in academic publishing, particularly online product marketing.

The role

– Responsible for strategy, marketing plans, spend and budget for a wide range of online products

– Implement all aspects of marketing plans, including: direct mail; email marketing; web marketing; social media; publicity; institutional conferences; print and online advertising; sales materials

– Input into departmental strategy and processes

– Potential line management of one report (dependent on experience)

Research Fellow in Digital Publishing and Data Visualization – University of Sussex

Sussex Humanities Lab (SHL) in collaboration with the Schools of History, Art History and Philosophy (HAHP) and Engineering and Informatics (E&I) wish to appoint to a 30 month, fixed term, non-renewable, fellowship in Digital Publishing and Data Visualization. Intended to support the development of research projects at the boundaries between the Humanities (broadly conceived) and other disciplines, the fellowship combines direct development of public facing web resources (including the preparation of data for visualization) and academic research and publication in the area of digital publishing.

The fellow is expected to have direct experience in data visualization and a commitment to critical engagement with the rapidly evolving character of publishing online. They will work with developers and researchers from the Humanities and Informatics, to both implement ongoing projects, and to develop a recognisable web style and format, to be shared across the Lab’s projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with Lab members, individually and with colleagues to develop a portfolio of digital projects. The fellow will be mentored by a member of SHL. The post will be physically based in the schools of History, Art History and Philosophy, and Engineering and Informatics, with access to the facilities and expertise available in SHL.
