Best Book Awards: Tech Stuff Category open for submissions

To reflect how reading has embraced the digital era, this years Booktrust Best Book Awards (celebrating the best children’s books the UK has to offer) will include a technology award that will celebrate the best innovations in online literature.

The judging panel for the Booktrust Best Book awards with Amazon Kindle was announced today. The tech journalist Stuart Dredge will assist Amanda Craig and Cerrie Burnell in deciding the tech categories.

Booktrust are now accepting submissions from publishers and developers for the Tech Stuff categories in four age bands.

The Tech Stuff categories are intended for digital products, such as apps and online experiences, on any platform, or a combined print/digital experience.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on 28 February 2014. UK publishers and developers are both eligible to enter.
