Behind the scenes of Nursery Rhymes with Storytime

Just when things seem to be getting a bit ‘same ol’, same ol’ in the digital publishing arena, digital design studio ustwo has sprung out of Shoreditch with lots of renewed energy and smart thinking about how digital innovation can fit in succesfully with publishing books.

Their Nursery Rhymes app has pushed the boundaries – enabling parents and children to share storytime even if they’re not in the same room – in a beautifully crafted app using StoryTime. The project demonstrates how collaboration is the way forward – teaming up with Chris Stevens (Atomic Antelope) who was behind the lovely Alice for the iPad.

We’re really looking forward to hearing the full Nursery Rhymes story at the FutureBook Innovation Workshop on 16 June when he who shall only be named as ‘Mills’ will be coming along to give delegates the lowdown on how they created and marketed the app. Watch this space as more exciting digital literary projects coming out of this studio very soon…
