Mobile Art Lab’s PhoneBook is a hybrid book which has combined the iPhone and an ordinary book. Mobile Art Lab developed the PhoneBook as a fun way for parents and children to communicate.
The iPhone is placed in the children’s book and as you turn the physical page, you simultaneously turn the page on the iPhone to reveal corresponding interactive imagery. Parent and child can interact with the scenes directly or tilt the book for different interactions.
Mobile Art Lab works under the slogan ‘Analog on the Digital Technology’ as it aims to combine the digital values of iPhone with the analogue advantage of books. The idea is that this kind of hybrid approach could also teach children how to read and interact with technology from a very young age.
