It’s All Their Fault

It’s All Their Fault is a manifesto is aimed at the Facebook generation of first-time voters who understand fully the power of social media networks, platforms for sharing content and opinions as agents for change.

The online project is a call to arms, a chance for those born in the 70s and 80s to respond.

On www.itsalltheirfault.com readers can read the entire text by Neil Boorman for free – and download for free – and a sample of the text to email round to their friends. There will be an ebook edition which readers can buy with one click from Amazon.com, featuring live hyperlinks to author-curated multimedia content including video and audio that makes the ebook fully interactive. There will also be a print-on-demand version. The book and the website have one message – that the vote counts: get out and doing something about it.

The second function of the website is to provide a collaborative platform to allow readers to contribute to the debate and create additional content. Readers will be able to log on to the website and add their own points of agenda, comments etc, all of which will make up the bulk of a second ebook edition of It’s All Their Fault. This will be published the day that the 2010 UK election results are announced.

The Friday Project sees this very much as a defining project for the future of interactive publishing, where the audience becomes part of the creation of new content as well as spreading the word.
